RTL Construction partnered with Watson-Forsberg Co. on the Simpson Shelter & Housing project in Minneapolis, MN, a 66,000+ SF multi-story podium building combining emergency shelter services with supportive housing. The structure includes a two-story concrete podium with wood-framed residential levels above.
RTL provided the Exterior steel framing assemblies and sheathing, along with interior steel stud framing, and drywall and insulation systems throughout the building. Scope included installation of drywall over wood-framed assemblies, fire-rated partitions, and shaft wall systems. RTL self-performed key scopes while supplementing manpower with trade partners to maintain schedule and deliver high-quality construction.
